In digital marketing, there’s almost an infinite number of use cases where you want to collect data:
- you may want to have a contact form
- you have an event and need people to register
- the classic is the online order
- you solicit customer feedback
- get consent
It’d be cool to integrate the form into your existing website but also use it as standalone landing page to use in your campaigns. And of course, it’s a must that the tool doesn’t need you to write code.
It sounds like a tall order but there’s 123Formbuilder. It’s an easy-to-use form-building tool just as the name suggests. You can use it when you need to create forms and surveys and it gives you a ton of customisation options.
Jotform was launched in 2010 by Florin Cornianu and Tudor Bastea. Its headquarters are in Timisoara, Romania. It boasts well over 30’000 customers, including household names such as Hilti, Airbus, and LG.
Pros and cons of 123Formbuilder
123FormBuilder is a cloud-based web form builder that offers its service as a monthly subscription. With it, you can build forms, quizzes, polls, and surveys. You can even accept payments.
Pros
- forever free plan
- easy to use
- humongous template gallery but not all available on all plans
- available in English, French, German, Dutch, Spanish, and more
- supports multi-lingual forms, although one on paid plans
Cons
- not all features are available for all plans
- can be slow
- The pricing structure can be complex and if you need a specific feature or integration, it might mean you need to subscribe to a more costly plan
Who is 123Formbuilder for?
Whenever you need to create a form be it for your marketing or any kind of business workflow, 123Formbuilder is a good place to start. You can use it to launch standalone forms or embed the form into your existing website.
How easy is 123Formbuilder to use?
You can start with 123Formbuilder’s forever free plan to see how it is for you to work with it. As part of the signup process, 123Formbuilder will ask you what kind of form you want to build first. It has 7 predefined forms.
For this review, I’ll be creating a survey form. Creating a form is a simple 3 step process, hence its name:
- Step 1 is to find the template
- Step 2 is to customise and add your content
- Step 3 publish
The drag-and-drop editor is easy to use. Although it has a ton of options you won’t feel overwhelmed thanks to its nice and clean interface.
123Formbuilder design and templates
123Formbuilder has a large gallery of over 2000 templates to choose from. They’re grouped into categories, such as contact forms, enquiry forms, registration forms, or business types.
Unfortunately, not all templates are available for all plans – just like not all features are available on all plans.
How to manage your ecommerce store in 123Formbuilder?
You can use 123Formbuilder to accept payments. Think of it as the form for checkout. Clearly, 123Formbuilder doesn’t see itself as a full-fledged shopping cart application since it has plugins to integrate with Shopify or BigCommerce.
123Formbuilder integrations
You can add payment processors such as Square, Stripe, and Paypal to your forms. Apart from the payment gateway integrations, 123Formbuilder also has a range of integrations that are organised into categories such as help desk, file management, and social media.
But again, not all plugins and integrations are available on all plans.
What marketing does 123Formbuilder have?
Once you’ve finished your form, you can use it as a stand-alone landing page hosted by 123Formbuilder. Knowing how important forms are and marketing, 123Formbuilder makes it easy for you to publish your form on different platforms such as Shopify, and Facebook. Or you can embed it into your site.
You can set up rules for your form or even for an individual field to enhance and automate your workflows or direct your audience to the next stage in the customer journey.
Payment options
As mentioned under integrations, you have the big names in payment processing. At the time of writing this review, you have access to 15+ payment processors.
123Formbuilder security
Needless to say that the forms built with and hosted by 123Formbuilder are secured with SSL. Depending on your account, you can password-protect your forms or build forms with Captcha to prevent spam.
123Formbuilder customer support
You can create a ticket or live chat with the support team when it’s online – all from your account. All plans have access to 123Formbuilder’s so-called 16/5 technical support. If you’ve subscribed to its Enterprise plan, you also have access to priority support and an account manager.
123Formbuilder pricing
123Formbuilder practices “the more you pay, the more you get”. You see it in the templates, features, integrations, payment processor options, and support.
Still, you can start on its free plan and if you see you need more features, upgrade. Just know that your forms will have the 123Formbuilder brand.
Is 123Formbuilder the right tool for you?
Forms are the way to collect data on the web. You use it to
- capture leads
- check out an order
- get consent
- get feedback
These are but a few examples where forms are needed. A form builder helps you create the forms quickly. And with 123FormBuilder, you can create forms for data collection in minutes that are tailored to your specific needs. It’s especially interesting if you need multi-lingual support.
